MobileNoter is now available on Android Market!

Thursday, 01/13/2011, 11:44 PM by admin

It is the first release version of the MobileNoter for Android abortion pill clinics which includes everything you've seen in Beta, but with some improvements.

Look for "MobileNoter" on Android Market!

Please note that next major updates of the application will not be free. Users will need to pay for the sync service (the same way like in iOS version of MobileNoter).

Hi! I have android on my phone, and an ipad, and this application just fantastic! Great to get the final version on android!

I was just wondering, on my iPad, the font seems to change from the original on onenote to Times New Roman. Is there any way to keep the original font?

The Times New Roman font is displayed in MobileNoter if you have used a font in OneNote, which doesn’t exist in Apple iOS. So, you need to use one of the fonts supported by iOS in OneNote.

I have purchased the Wi-Fi sync edition of Mobile Noter and own both an Android phone and an iPad.  Traditionally my notes have been synced to my iPad because the Android version has not been available.  As the past two version of the android app have been released, I see we're getting closer to a solution that will allow true converge notetaking across these multiple platforms.

As I have already paid for the Wifi sync, will I need to pay again to sync to both my iPad and Android over Wi-Fi?  Will the upcoming versions of MobileNoter (PC version) support pairing with two or more devices?

No, you don't need to pay again, you can use the same license.
We are now working on a synchronization method which works with files directly, so it will be possible to sync with services like Dropbox and similar. I will publish additional info on this topic when it's available.

Awesome! This will be great for everyone with the Captivate! (No non-market apps allowed without adb or rooting)

Just downloaded and synced to my Samsung Galaxy Tablet. Thank you so much. Lately I have had to do notes between OneNote and Evernote. I will be very glad to go back to OneNote. Will be looking forward to being able to edit in Android.

At some point, would you allow us to choose a "background" color - I run a lot of my apps in the glossy or glassy black. Your app looks great - but, would be nice.

Thanks again for your good work.

As I've already mentioned below, it will be released in the end of February.

I'm having an issue with this release: all of my notes (inked) show up blank from within the app, I can't see anything, just blank white pages. The titles are all present, but when I open a page it is entirely blank.

Doyle |

Please try using the option "Drop All Data" (it's located in application Settings) and resyncing your notebooks then.

amolokoedov |

1/14/2011 1:35:16 PM #

Thanks, that fixed the problem. However, to my disappointment, the ink formatting issue is still present in this release. My $5 subscription is still going to waste, can't wait to actually get to use this app.... I can't read my inked notes, they are garbled junk. When is a fix coming for this?

Doyle |

1/16/2011 4:05:47 PM #

Could you please send us (to some screenshots that represent the problem (one from device, another from OneNote)?  There is an irregular bug with inks positioning, maybe it’s your case. We are investigating it; as for now we can’t say how much time it can take to fix the problem.

There is a problem with release version: it doesn't show checkboxes. With beta versions it works fine. I tried "Drop All Data" but nothing changes. Motorola Milestone, Android 2.1

Cekory |

1/16/2011 4:03:34 PM #

We have not reproduced the bug yet, we’ve checked this on Milestone. It seems the problem is notebook specific. Is it possible for you to send us a page that causes the problem?

Same Issue - no checkboxes show up on Motorola Droid. 2.2.1, FRG83D.  Still love the app!

This issue will be fixed in update which will be released in the middle of February.

Great app for android! Could we get a timeline or any kind of vague release window (i.e. within a month/two months?) for the version that will allow editing?

Am really anticipating this! Smile

Thanks for the great app.

Hey, in the moment I'm testing Mobile Noter 1.0.1 on my Android-Phone. To pay for the App is just rentable for me, when I can edit the Notes. When this major update will come?

Looks great so far.. Having issues with WIFI sync via Android though.. have installed and tried the Windows Client on two different machines independently...  one hard wired (desktop)  and the other wireless (laptop) both on the same network as my phone. when I select WIFI on the phone.. it shows "Connecting to PC" and displays my pc IP address (triple checked) and acts as if it’s trying to sync. Then it says in a new dialog box - Please Pair with PC... there is never any notification on the PC to enter or pair or connect the phone.. Please help.. to hear so many others say how well it works is maddening.

You need to tap on the "Send pairing request" button in app settings (this button will be displayed if you press the menu button on your device), then you'll be provided with a PIN-code that you need to enter on the PC.

amolokoedov |

1/31/2011 2:41:08 AM #

I'm having the same problem, except mine doesn't show the "send pairing request" when I hit the menu button.  On the website, it says that it'll give you a PIN code when you enter the IP address of your computer, but my app doesn't do that.

Two things!  (1) I hit a "notify me when new comments are added, and I'm getting a lot of email... can I undo that somehow?!

(2)  My "trial" for the one note "viewer" runs out around the time the editable android version is supposed to be available.  Will my account be deleted or disabled if I don't BUY before the editable version is released?  (I just want to MAKE SURE it'll run on my phone and stuff before I commit to buying... not trying to cheat anyone out of cash!)

Tracey |

1/23/2011 7:33:04 PM #

1. No, you can't, but we can remove your e-mail form the list so you won't recieve new comments later.

2. It seems that you haven't activated the sync with Android device in the Windows Sync Client. Go to the Android tab in the bottom of menu. In this tab please press the “Activate” button, after this you’ll be able to use Cloud/Wi-Fi synchronization on your Android even without active licences/Subscriptions.

This will work until the version with fee wouldn't be released. But even after this your account wouldn't be deleted, you just won't be able to sync until you purchase the license.

amolokoedov |

1/24/2011 12:55:46 AM #

Please take my email off the list, as well. The responses are burying my actual email.

I was confused by these instructions until I realized that an important step is missing -- for this mysterious "Android tab" to appear on the menu, you have to create an account on and log in first.

You have to log into, even if you aren't going to use the cloud sync.

Finding a bit of a performance lag (running on Nexus S) but otherwise so far so good.

Hope your development roadmap includes expanding functionality for Android 3.0 Honeycomb tablets in the coming year. The Asus Transformer with this and the new version of MyScript and i have all the functionality i need without having a full and cumbersome OS (yes i'm looking at you Windows!)

I am a OneNote poweruser, and recently purchased a Galaxy Tab and installed MobileNoter v. 1.
I am looking forward to the editable version. A few suggestions:
1. Password functionality is needed.
2. My check boxes are not copying to the Tab (although granted they serve no function with a read-only version).
3. Upon completion of a wi-fi sync, all of the notebooks, sections and pages are left open. These leaves me with several dozen pages and sections to close in order to be able to function. I have 5 notebooks, and this is quite a bit of work.

Keep up the good work!

Just downloaded 1.0.2 from the Android market.  After a sync the tags (to-do, check mark) now show up on the Android.  Thanks!
